Helsingborg

Helsingborg by the sea
The town is well known for it’s beauty – mainly due to it’s location by the sparkling waters of the sound and its green surroundings. Helsingborg is also Sweden’s most continental town and as close to “abroad” as you can get. Every year, about 14 million passengers travel on the ferries between Helsingborg in Sweden and Helsingör in Denmark, making Helsingborg one of the busiest ferry ports in the world. The municipality has a population of 118,000 of whom about 84,500 live in the town. Numerous trading and industrial companies together with The University of Lund, Campus Helsingborg and their 2 700 students are today based in the area, making Helsingborg the northern business hub of the Öresund region.
