Sweden is the host of the 2006 World Floorball Championships. The group matches will be played in four different cities: Botkyrka, Helsingborg, Malmö and Solna. The semifinals and finals will be played in the Globe Arena in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.
Helsingborg and Malmö are situated in the Southern part of Sweden, while Botkyrka and Solna are very close to Stockholm on the East coast of Sweden. The distance between Helsingborg and Malmö is approx 70 km, between Solna and Botkyrka 25 km. From Baltiska Hallen in Malmö it is 620 km to the Globe Arena in Stockholm.
The tournament will be played towards the end of May. According to the Meterologists it is Summer when the average temperature of the day reaches over 10 degrees Celcius. Normally this will happen in Malmö around May 8 and Stockholm May 13. In other words, it will be Summer in Sweden during the WFC2006.
